Big enough to hide under and cosy enough to keep you snug over the winter months – what’s not to love?
The teddy coat is slowly but surely becoming the coat of 2018. I know I’m a bit late to the party, they’ve been around now for a few months now.
But they are just getting better and better, and I’m guessing they’re going to stick around for a while.
I picked this one up from New Look last month. It comes in this beautiful traditional camel colour, and black too. I’d love to get the black too – it looks way more expensive than it really is.
I’m not going to lie, the £39.99 price tag attracted me to it the most. It’s super cheap and affordable, which is just what I like at the minute.
The only downside was the buttons weren’t sewn on very well and I had to reattach one of them. I suppose you get what you pay for?
Of course there are loads of versions out there, varying in style, colour and price. When I was shopping around for my beloved teddy coat, I couldn’t help but think ‘Are these going to be around next year, or is it just a 2018 thing?’ and ‘Would they be this year’s red boot?’
Because of the doubt, I didn’t want to shell out too much. Until my sister came home with the most beautiful powder blue style from River Island. She wasn’t too convinced when I suggested we share them. Sharing is caring right?
I’ve been wearing my teddy coat week in, week out. It’s great for work, and looks fab with a dressier outfit at the weekend too.
Because it’s such a statement, I also love it with just plain skinnies and cream knit – chic and classic.
I am reaching it more now than any other coat in my wardrobe and I have a feeling it’s only going to get more use as the dreaded cold winter months draw nearer and nearer.
Who else feels like we’re going to get the mother of all winters this year? Forget Frank Mitchell, you heard it here first! Maybe the F in The Big F Word stands for forecast – lol!
Anyways, back to fashion… the real reason behind The Big F Word.
I’ve sourced a few other styles that I love and I hope you do too. Let me know you’re thoughts and if you’re rocking the teddy coat trend this winter.
