JANUARY FAVS

Is anyone else glad to see the back end of January, and say hello to a new month and a new start? God that month seemed to go on forever!!

I normally love January because it’s my birthday month but this year it dragged on a bit, the weather was awful and I just could not get into the whole ‘New Year New Me’ swing of things at all.

I’m all about Focus February now and plan to start my New Years resolutions finally, albeit a month late. Sure it’s the thought that counts, right?

I hope you enjoyed January’s content on The Big F Word and the new edition of my weekly interviews. I’ve another great one lined up for this week, so keep an eye on here on Saturday morning to find out more.

Another addition to the blog is my monthly favourites. At the beginning of every month I’m going to have a look back at what I really loved over the past 30 odd days. I’m not going to commit to it being fashion and beauty, because some months I mightn’t buy or try out new products. It might be books, places, restaurants or music that I’ve been loving, but whatever it is, I’ll share it with you guys.

So I’m going to jump straight into my favourite things from the last 31 longggg days of January.

HAIRCARE

I was chatting on my Instastories the other day about my new haircare routine and I got loadsss of questions through from people feeling the same as me. Thank god I’m not the only one with crap, dry and brittle hair!

I’ve been using this Serious Conditioner for a couple of weeks now and I’ve really noticed a difference in the state of my hair. It’s definitely one of my monthly favourites, and will continue to be throughout the year.

I got it in The Hair Superstore in Derry, and I’d definitely recommend it if your having some hair issues too.

SKINCARE

I couldn’t recommend this product anymore if I tried!! It is amazing, and it’s only Β£2.75 from Super Drug. I’ve spoke about it before on here but I recently repurchased it again after not using it for about a month and I’ve fallen back in love with it.

It’s a cleansing liquid with Salicylic Acid to gently exfoliate the skin. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have sensitive skin, and never use it around the eye area as it is like a face peel in a bottle!!

It gives that lovely clean feeling that I’ve never felt with any other cream cleanser and it takes every scrape of dirt off your face. It also gives that tingly feeling when you know something amazing is happening in your pores and you are dirt free! I sound like an absolute edjit, but there is no better feeling! πŸ˜‚

ow I'm the last doll to jump on this band wagon, but I just recently got my hands on The Secret and I'm obsessed! It's literally changed my life.

I've been feeling a bit deflated and unfocused the last few weeks for one reason or another and this has really helped me a lot. It makes you think about what you really want in life and instills positivity in you, making you feel and know that everything will work out the way you want it to; you just need to be positive.

I am saying goodbye to negativity in 2018 and trying to be as positive as possible, because really, where do those negative vibes get you? Do you really want to be that moaning old fart that is always complaining about something? There are people far worse off in this world so quit your crying and get on with it.

FASHION

<<<
s jacket from Zara is by far my favourite purchase in January. It was reduced from Β£59.99 to Β£20 and I love it!

I've only wore it once so far, but I cannot wait to wear it all summer long with some light wash, straight leg jeans and wee slip on white sandals. If only the weather would pick up now so we can ditch the tights and boots! πŸ˜΄πŸ™„

ACCESSORIES

My little Gucci inspired handbag from Finishing Touches Too in Limavady is so cute, I am mad about it.

I got it last weekend and I know I’ll use it to death, black and gold are my favourites! Someday I’ll own the real deal but until then, this little baby will do me.

And that’s a wrap, my top picks from January which made my month that little bit better. I hope you liked reading this review type post, and I’ll have more to come throughout the year.

As always thanks for reading and Happy February! πŸ’‹
