I hope you are all well on this lovely Tuesday evening.
Tonight’s blog post is all about beauty and I thought I’d share my fab experience at Define Aesthetics Beauty Salon with you again.
Earlier in the year I went in for a Dermaplanning facial, which I did a little video about, you can see it in my previous blog posts. I was kindly invited back in again to sample a new facial that they will be offering soon in the salon and I was so excited to try it out.
I had an Opatra facial, which involves a whole lot of pampering goodness! It’s a revolutionary anti-ageing and skin-repairing device that combines four scientifically-proven treatments—galvanic technology, ultrasound stimulation, LED light therapy, and vibrating massage.
Together these treatments work to rejuvenate skin by smoothing out facial wrinkles, tightening facial muscles, boosting blood circulation, and stimulating new skin cell production with one powerful, hand-held tool.
The device has three different options; a blue light for anti-bacterial, a green light to help with age spots and dark circles, and a red light for anti ageing.
I had an antibacterial one, as my skin was really congested around my mouth and I had an underlying demon of a spot on my chin which refused to go away.
The first step was a serum that was put all over my face, and then massaged into the skin with the blue anti bacterial LED light. This was really cooling on the skin and felt great.
After that was massaged into the skin for around 10 minutes, a collagen infused mask was put on and massaged into the skin using a vibrating device. This felt amazing on the skin and I knew it was doing something.
Collagen is what keeps our skin plump and fresh and we loose it as we get older. To combat fine lines and give the skin a youthful glow again, we want as much as we can get!!
After another 10 minutes of this being massaged into my skin it was removed with antibacterial wash and my skin was moisturised.
As soon as I got up and looked in the mirror I knew my skin looked so plump and fresh and it felt amazing! After a few days the pimples around my mouth and the beast of a spot had disappeared without any hassle, so I can 100% say that whatever was in the products did what they said they would do.
Obviously everyone’s skin is different and it’s important to look at the other options available. The ladies in the salon have a wealth of knowledge and they will advise you the best they can. Also they are all brilliant craic, and you’ll feel right at home when you arrive.
As I said I had the antibacterial option, but there are anti ageing and anti dark spots options as well and I would highly recommend these for someone with older skin. With Christmas coming up these would be a great gift idea for mothers and grandmothers, why not pop into the salon and chat to the ladies about getting a Christmas voucher?
You can check the salon out on Facebook here and have a nosey at the other services they offer. I’ll add in a location of where they are in Derry below.
I hope you all liked this little beauty post tonight, I’ll have another collaboration post with Define Aesthetics coming up shortly on the blog and it’s all about Microblading and Phi Brows!! I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
As always, thanks for reading!
Much love, X
